Originally from Kingwood, Texas, two-time All-Stater Marissa Cano has always had a passion for singing and teaching. After graduating high school, she studied Vocal Performance with Professor William Joyner at the University of North Texas. During her undergraduate studies, she took on two roles in the UNT Opera Program and sang in the UNT A Cappella Choir for several years. Her extensive performance background also includes singing with the Houston Symphony Chorus, and performing at various churches. She now teaches private voice lessons, where she enjoys guiding students in musicality, vocal technique, and performance.
